Vidar Systems was founded in 2023, evolving from a volunteer initiative created to address the urgent need for passive counter-battery reconnaissance.  What began with a few enthusiasts has grown into a team of more than 30 experts across Europe. The company specializes in acoustic intelligence technology with applications across multiple sectors.

Its flagship product, the Acoustic Weapon Locating System (AWLS), enables national security and military units to detect both direct and indirect gunfire, including howitzers, mortars of all calibers, tanks, grenade launchers, recoilless rifles, and machine guns. Designed as a cost-effective sensor network and powered by advanced AI, the system delivers defense capabilities at a fraction of the cost of comparable solutions. 

Proven in active combat since 2024, AWLS has given Vidar Systems deep operational insights, fueling its development of next-generation fully autonomous products and its expansion into C-UAS reconnaissance.
